Blog #4

I chose to analyze the social media presence of Lebron James for my fourth blog.
Lebron James is a professional basketball player for the Los Angelas Lakers.
He is one of the most unique celebrities to ever exist. He has had a media following since he was in
middle school. He was called the chosen one when he was in his early teens because a talent like him
had never been seen before. He was being interviewed by sports media outlets all throughout high school.
He is now in his 17th season in the NBA and he is 35 years old, he has done a ton of work in the
community and is very active on social media, especially on Instagram and Twitter, which are the
platforms I will be analyzing in this blog post. I will look at Lebron Jame’s Instagram first. The tone of
Lebrons posts are usually very positive from posting about his focus on basketball to posting videos of
his family making Tik Tok’s, to posting stories of him singing happy birthday to his teammates.
He also has a very famous post every Tuesday where he posts him and his family at dinner and yells
“what day is it?! What day is it?! Tacoooo Tuessssssdaaaaayyyyyyyyy ayayayayayayayayaya” in a very
positive and happy tone. The first picture is Lebron during his last game where he was playing there
cross-town rivals the Los Angelas Clippers and he scored the game-winning basket on an and-one layup.
The second picture is a video of Lebron and his family making a Tik Tok dancing together.
His posts with his family he promotes his love and support of everyone in his family.

This picture is a post of a quote where he was being a slight troll but then goes onto say how fortunate he is to have the love and support of the people closest to him.

This is a post of Lebron supporting his son during his son's Bronny James first-ever high school basketball state tournament. His son is a freshman in high school and is already being recruited by the top colleges in the United States.

This post is a picture of Lebron using his Instagram to promote his children's book. His social media is used to promote positive achievements he has accomplished for the community as well as posting about his professional job to play basketball.

Now switching to twitter, Lebron's tone is much more focused on his family and friends rather than posting stuff about himself like on Instagram. The first picture is Lebron supporting his son and his team during there state playoff run and it is a video of someone on his son's team hitting a buzzer-beating game-winner to advance in the tournament. The middle picture is a tweet he posted for his wife and her foundation of helping young women in high school go to prom by financing their tickets and prom dresses and helping less privileged students attend a special moment in their high school careers. The final picture he attached to his tweet is supporting his school that he created called the "I Promise School" and it is completely funded by him to help give kids from his hometown of Akron Ohio better opportunities to attend college. Overall Lebron uses his social media presence in a very positive and uplifting way and is a great role model for kids and adults.
